Description: On our family road trip, we took a wrong turn causing us to detour through an Arizona Indian reservation. Stopping for lunch at a flea market an American Indian man handed me this intricately shaped wooded root and refused to accept payment from me. I decided to do a series of drawings and paintings of this tree root.
